Messing about in Boats

"There is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats," according to Ratty in The Wind in the Willows. We didn't exactly mess about and there was only one boat but the Lower 6th took his words to heart this afternoon when they cruised down the Cam in the Riverboat Georgina. Some imagined they were on the Titanic.

Some were grateful they didn't have to pull on a set of oars.

Some looked out to sea (or, at least, to the closest we get to sea in Cambridge).

And some played jazz.

It was a great way to start the weekend.

Lourdes

Another great group from the Sixth Form went to Lourdes this summer to work in the hospital and to look after sick pilgrims. We heard about some of their humbling and inspiring experiences at a reunion tea this afternoon. More to follow soon.
