Here are some more photos of the Physicists working on their force-extension experiment The idea is to add weights to a copper wire to see at what mass the copper wire reaches its elastic limit and reaches plastic deformation. I'm not quite sure what that means but, hey, I'm only an English teacher.
I guess from all those smiles that the experiment went well.
